I C U

I see you as you are.
Not as you used to seem
My perceptions had thus far,
Been clouded by the dream.

The dream I held so dear,
Was that I had somehow found
The one who'd always be near.
And yet you're not around.

You had niether strength nor might.
You wouldn't stick it out.
As I think of you tonight,
I haven't any doubt.

I see you as you are.
A coward with a dream.
You want your life to go far,
But things must go to scheme.

They must go as you've planned.
And they must occur just so.
One bump in the road and...
It's away and off you'll go.

So noble is your thought,
Yet never quite thought through.
Disillusioned is your lot.
That's all I see of you.
